caleb is now on a big boy bed in his room (yep, not a toddler bed!) and brynna is in the crib in our room. last night was the first night of the transition...after reading caleb his stories and turning on his music (our normal routine), i put him down in his new bed. he was already anxious because he knew it was something new so i stayed in the room but sat on the opposite side of the room from his bed. he stood up and started to try to crawl over the rail, but i told him no and surprisingly, he stopped. he just stood there, wailing, for about 10 minutes...then he stopped, found his paci and blanket, and went to sleep! i was amazed. i was scared that he'd get up in the middle of the night screaming because he was in a different bed and alone...which he did, but only at 5:30 am...and i just went to his room and jumped in bed with him and he fell back asleep. today, for his nap, dave took him in the room, gave him his paci and blankie, played his music, and he just lay in bed, listening to his music and eventually fell asleep. wow.
brynna looks much more comfortable in the crib than in the squishy bassinet. she slept well last night so we hope it continues!!

that's so awesome amy! how'd you guys get brynna to sleep flat on her back? we have to hardest time getting jacob to do that.
