trying to figure out how we're going to transition caleb to a bed. tried to get him to sleep in gramma's bed tonight but the two times i left the room, he threw a fit and ran to the door. if i stayed in there, he stayed contentedly in the bed and looked around and stayed in a lying down position. my mom and dave's idea is that we're going to have to do the supernanny thing and keep bringing him back to the bed when he gets out. i'm wondering if he'd be any better in a toddler bed...doubt it. any suggestions on how to do it for those of you who have had to?

brynna definitely is not as nutts as caleb, but she's got her crying spells too. she also has the same gassiness as him...and the same problem with trying to inhale her milk and then gulping too fast and too much air so that the gas is even worse. she still sleeps a lot...i'm sure caleb did too, but looking back at his pictures, it seemed like he was more awake and alert at one month. she has periods of being awake, but still majority of the day is sleeping. i guess that's how it is...maybe i just forgot caleb sleeping a lot cuz all i remember is him getting nutts.

today i wanted to venture out to some stores, but by the time i was ready to go i was catching a down and brynna was napping so instead we all (me, brynna and dave) took a nap together. that was needed. caleb went with his colmenares grandparents to the park, the mall, and their house.

last night brynna was pretty good except for her first night feeding where she cried and seemed to be having gas pains. after an hour we finally gave her another 2 oz which she ate, then settled down and went to sleep. her 2 am feeding was kind of long and she wouldn't let me put her down...after more than an hour of trying to put her down i woke dave up cuz my back was getting way too sore. we finally ended up feeding her another 2 oz then too and she went back to sleep.

gonna bocha and try to get in some sleep before brynna wakes up for her next feeding...what usually happens is dave and i fall asleep for like 1/2 an hour and then it's super hard to get up for the feeding...that's when the "we're tired and grouchy as hell so we're going to get pissed off at each other and snap" session usually occurs. lol. goodnight...

First of all, we put up a baby gate in the doorway so the little bugger couldn't escape. Then, when it was bed time, we put him in his bed, did our good night ritual, and left the room. We did have to put him back in his bed a few times. Eventually, he "got" it. But yes, it is going to take a little while. If he plays quietly for a bit in his room, no big deal, right? Of course, the optimum is staying in his bed...but really, if he can play quietly and then get into bed himself, that's still good, no?
